The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Simbi Wabote, has put forward strategies that would collapse barriers and boost partnerships among governments and businesses across borders on the African continent.
Wabote, while speaking during the 7th Sub-Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC) in Lagos, said there was the need for peer review mechanisms, as well as experience and idea sharing on the sustainability and growth of the energy industry in Africa.
On the sidelines of SAIPEC, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NCDMB and the National Content Monitoring Committee of Senegal, where NCDMB would be responsible for the coordination and supervision of the development and implementation of local content strategies in the oil and gas sector of Senegal.
