Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva has said the revised edition of the petroleum industry governance bill, PIGB will be presented to the National Assembly this week.
The law governing Nigeria’s oil and gas sector is yet to be passed into law for over a decade now.
As a result, oil majors are holding on to all forms of investment pending its passing.
Just last week, President reveal that the law would be redrafted. The draft divided into two bills- the fiscal terms and that of oil-producing communities.
Adding, NNPC’s GMD, Mele Keyari said Nigeria, by June, would have a clear fiscal landscape on the bill.
