There was a flurry of mixed reactions from social media users after the minister of state for petroleum resources, Heineken Lokpobiri made it known that he did not direct the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC to stop running it’s refineries. This came amidst the recent hike in prices of the petroleum products otherwise known as PMS.
As the nation lament over the recent hike in prices of the petroleum product otherwise known as PMS, a lot of accusing fingers pointed towards the direction of the minister of state for petroleum resources, Heineken Lokpobiri for directing the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to stop running it’s refineries.
In light of this, the minister has dismissed such claims. It his statements which were shared by popular television outlet, ChannelsTV he pointed out that he did not stop the company from performing its duties.
