World Trade Organization Director-General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, shared her thoughts after attending a meeting of Heads of International Organizations in Beijing, China, on Sunday.
The meeting focused on global geopolitical and trade outlooks, including discussions on China’s economic growth, WTO reforms, and key issues such as transparency, delivery of agreements, and support for developing countries, particularly Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
The Director-General of World Trade Organisation, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala stated on her verified Twitter page on Sunday; “In Beijing at the one plus ten meeting of Heads of International Organizations with HE Premier Li Qiang.”
She added; “At a bilateral meeting with HE and the @wto delegation focused on the geopolitical and trade outlook in the context of global growth, China’s growth outlook and WTO matters including DSS reform, level playing field issues and transparency , delivery of agreements , support to developing countries especially LDCs, S&DT flexibilities, and reforms needed to upgrade wto rules to 21st century challenges.”
