PPPRA trucks out over 74 million litres of petrol

As is contained in the Agency’s latest report titled ‘Truck-out report for 13th August 2020-PMS’, the product was shared among the 36 states of the federation with Lagos getting the lion share of 11, 130, 389 litres within two days.

Ogun state got a total of 3, 758, 488 litres, Kaduna, 585, 054 litres, while Oyo state got a total of 3, 579, 994 litres.

The likes of Zamfara was given 3, 435, 536 litres, Rivers, 3, 208, 032 litres, and FCT, 4, 137, 875 litres.

Other states such as Adamawa received 2, 531, 008 litres, Edo, 2, 423, 001, and Akwa Ibom, 2, 288, 790 litres.

Enugu state received 1, 974, 019 litres, Kwara, 1, 967, 995 litres, Abia received 1, 832, 004 litres, Delta, 1, 822, 550 litres, Benue, 1, 631, 997 litres, Imo, 1, 504, 995 litres, Ondo, 1, 432, 000 litres, Anambra, 1, 368, 008 litres, Osun, 1, 120, 020 litres, Plateau, 1, 175, 001 litres, and Kebbi state, 1, 232, 001 litres.

Bauchi received a total of 91, 000 litres of petrol within the days under review, Bayelsa, 465, 000 litres, Borno, 675, 000 litres, Cross Rivers, 669, 000 litres, Ebonyi, 98, 000 litres, Ekiti 252, 999 litres, Jigawa, 45, 000 litres, Kastina, 256, 001 litres, Kogi, 331. 001 litres, Nasarawa, 504, 000 litres, Sokoto got 145, 008 litres, Taraba, 203, 000 litres, while Yobe received 407, 997 litres.

The debt, amounting to N13.6 million, according to the Managing Director of the firm, Uche Okoye was for petroleum products supplied to the Transport Company of Anambra State, TRACAS in 2017 wherein the transport company owed for four months.

The petroleum marketers had on August 4 issued a 21-day ultimatum to the state government to pay their member being owed and also address other issues raised by the association.

Chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot, Mr. Chinedu Anayaso, while speaking to newsmen in Awka, said that the Association would shut down its operation in the state completely until all conditions were met. He added that another issue being contested apart from the debt payment was the question of tax/levy increment being pushed by the state government which he said the economy cannot presently support.

Anayaso disclosed that the group had secured the support of NUPENG and Petrol Tanker Drivers, adding that anyone who violated the order would pay a fine of N500,000.
