NIGCOMSAT, MOMAS- EPAIL Partner To Boost Communication Infrastructure

Effective and efficient Communication can only be made possible with the availability of adequate Communication Infrastructure. 

It is on this note that the Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd., (NIGCOMSAT) and MOMAS Equipment and Protective Applications International Limited (EPAIL), signed a partnership on effective communication infrastructure in Nigerian Defense sector, in order to boost national security.

Valuechain learnt that the signing event took place at MOMAS-EPAIL factory in Mowe, Ogun State, and was witnessed by personalities from both companies.

Speaking at the event for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Managing Director, NIGCOMSAT, Mrs Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, applauded MOMAS-EPAIL, for the remarkable investment in Nigeria towards developing local content in power, defense and other sectors.

She commended MOMAS-EPAIL for being at the forefront of innovation toward improving national security, while urging other indigenous companies to partner with NIGCOMSAT to move the country forward through effective server communication network, as security remained paramount to the country at the moment.

Egerton-Idehen noted that the partnership between NIGCOMSAT and MOMAS-EPAIL was strategic and that most people that do not know that MOMAS-EPAIL is involved in manufacturing of defense materials for security.

With this partnership, NIGCOMSAT, which happens to be the premier satellite communication company for Nigeria will become of value in collaborating to helping the country’s Defense sector.

The NIGCOMSAT boss further explained that the company was posed towards serving Nigeria through Nigerians, adding that there was the need to protect, create values and embrace innovation in the defense sector.

She said that NIGCOMSAT, a Nigeria server communication company and MOMAS-EPAIL a fully grown Nigerian company, would bring values to the nation.

Egerton-Idehen said that MOMAS-EPAIL has shown that partnering with local companies could be possible.

Giving his comments at the event, the Chairman of MOMAS-EPAIL, Mr Kola Balogun, said that the partnership with NIGCOMSAT would build effective database and improve on data collection for national security.

Balogun said that the firm had developed a very strong knowledge based information that would protect the security network.

He said that the company had grown remarkably in providing Armoured vehicles and some classical operational materials.

Balogun said that building synergy with NIGCOMSAT will enhance group communication infrastructure and front line operations.

Balogun said the MoU would serve as a tools of exchanging informations in security, intelligence and communication with lots of classified information.

“All the vital information has to be embedded in the agreement such that information that are important to the security of Nigeria can be saved and domesticated.

“This will further enhanced our services and effectiveness towards service delivery to Defense sector,” he added.
