The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board will on Thursday, October 17, 2019, hold a one-day workshop for women in the oil and gas industry with a theme “Mainstreaming Women in the Oil and Gas Industry”.
The event which will hold at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos Island will provide a platform to discuss issues and actions required to deepen the participation of women in the oil and gas sector and to leverage local content opportunities.
According to NCDMB, those expected to attend the workshop include women in the operating and service companies; female entrepreneurs in Nigerian oil and gas sector; mid-career ladies; women in linkage sectors; new entrants in technical and professional disciplines, among others.
The Board further stated that participants would derive such benefits as mentorship, entrepreneurship, networking, gender-specific privileges, global opportunities, career guidance and counselling, recognizing and avoiding professional pitfalls as well as work-life balance.
