Enugu State Govt grants use of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to flag-off Buhari’s campaign

The Enugu State Government has approved a request by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to use the 22 thousand capacity Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu for the planned flag off of President Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential campaign and rally in the city.

This is according to a statement signed by the Enugu State Commissioner of Information, Hon. Ogbuagu Anikwe, and made available to Valuechain at the weekend.

 “The request for use of the facility, dated January 18, was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama,” the statement read in part.

“In conveying the approval, the Enugu State Government promptly directed its Commissioner for Youth and Sports to make the stadium available to APC for the presidential campaign rally, which the party said will hold on January 24, 2019,” it further read.
