Dangote Refinery: Pictures Of Ongoing Installation Of Equipment

Installation of equipments at the biggest single train oil refinery in the world. Upon completion around April 2021, This project will cut Nigeria’s export bill by billions of dollars, while creating potential to earn forex for the nation through export of petroleum to other African countries.

The Dangote refinery, located in Lekki Lagos, Nigeria will refine thousands of barrels of crude oil daily. This surpasses the refining capacity of Nigeria’s four state-owned refineries combined.

The complex comprises of a refinery, a fertilizer plant which has been completed, and a pipeline connecting Lekki in Lagos to the Niger-Delta.

Modular refineries are also being completed, as three are already in the works. Combined, these refineries will end fuel importation by Nigeria and save the country billions of dollars in foreign exchange.

It will also create thousands of jobs for the teeming unemployed youths.

The current economic downturn caused by the novel corona virus, which has led to a crash in oil price will definitely impact on the refinery competition date. As economies begin gradual opening up, it is hopped that oil price will also increase gradually.
