What is for the Future?

By Aisha S. Michika

It is intriguing how the whole world is your oyster right; how interesting it is to take advantage of it and enjoy every single moment to the fullest. This comes handy when you are planning for your future and deciding exactly how you want it to look like. Whatever it may be, most times, getting answers for what you should do in the future seems to be a whole lot of tasks. The good thing is once you decide on what’s important, you tend to take some steps towards reaching those goals.

It sounds kind of cliché to make a long-term plan, but it really does help you narrow down your goals for the next few years of your life, which is difficult to see those plans reflecting on the actual result. I know sometimes some of us do write down a step-by-step list, daydreaming about what your life will be like in years to come, or endlessly talking out your plans with people that you think will contribute towards helping you achieve those dreams.

Even though your brain can set off on the task of putting all the puzzle pieces together and making it all work, once your brain doesn’t sink into buying the idea and preparing your heart to hold on to it and become part of your daily live, then the reality of these dreams will be in vain.

When you’re young, retirement seems like a mirage on the distant horizon, and that’s because we look at it that there is still time and, therefore, most of us find it hard saving money. But believe you me, once you start saving for retirement now, you’ll likely be totally loaded by the time you’re in your 60s, which is why most work comes with pension payment rights. But not all organizations do that, and even if they do, you might be a victim of one-off payments, while the rest of the payment is just history.

Have you ever wondered what the future holds for you? What are the goals set by you to achieve your dreams, and did you ever ask yourself if actually you are doing the right thing all along? Although sometimes we think all measures and predictions of determination in chasing our dreams don’t seem to be working, but let me assure you that you are good to go once every plan is on a perfect track. Don’t really look at things from the other angle, having doubt, sometimes heart desires can overstretch the knowledge of you sighting the reality and leave you stuck in a dream that doesn’t exist.

Let me ask you this question, how are things with you lately? As you all know the reality now, an impromptu decision takes turn towards a different direction, which happens all the time by losing focus; and it is actually a wake-up call if you all agree, though. Do you consider yourself an achiever or a loser, do you think planning for your future is a thing to consider? Do you think transforming the path of your future is the right thing to do?

Well, what I will say is that, it is up to you to decide what you think is right for you as you can see time waits for no one. Self-definition is the only thing that can be a shelter to our existence. The future will always be a target that we always struggle to aim and achieve at the same time.
