Valuechain Commiserates with NNPC Over Staff’s Death

Valuechain Magazine, on Wednesday, commiserated with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the death of one of its staff, Miss Fatima Baffa Garko, who died on Tuesday morning.

Led by the Publisher, Mallam Musa Bashir Usman, the oil and gas magazine team paid a condolence visit to the NNPC Towers, where they were received by a team from the Public Affairs Division (PAD) of the Corporation, led by the Group General Manager (GGM) PAD, Dr. Kennie Obateru.

Malam Usman described Fatima as a dedicated staff of the NNPC, who lived a fulfilled life, despite departing the world at a young age.

The Publisher, who recalled seeing the deceased at Valuechain 4th Lecture & Awards event last July (Monday 12), prayed to Allah to grant her soul eternal rest.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Editor of the Oracle Newspaper, Mr. Sopuruchi Onwuka, who joined the Valuechain team from Lagos State, said that losing Fatima to the cold hands of death was a very painful and sad thing for the team and the Corporation.

In his response, Obateru thanked the Valuechain team for coming to sympathise with the Corporation over the demise of one of its staff.

Obateru described Fatima as a very warm staff member who would be missed by so many at the NNPC.

After the condolence, the Circulation Manager of Valuechain, Malam Nasir Isah, was invited by Mallam Usman to pray for the soul of the deceased.

Until her death, Fatima was a staff of the PAD.

The Valuechain team also had the Managing Editor, Mr. Teddy Nwanunobi; and Miss Aisha Saleh; while the General Manager (GM), Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) to the Corporation, Mr. Ahmed Laminu, was in the team of the NNPC PAD, among other members of the PAD staff.
