TotalEnergies is documenting large oil and gas opportunities in Africa which the company is set to promote at the upcoming Africa Exploration and Production (E&P) Summit.

Valuechain reports that the event comes up on September 22 and 23, 2021 in London and online.

The Africa E&P Summit brings together Africa’s upstream industry for a unique event shaped for companies active in Africa’s oil and energy game and provides unrivalled insight into the continent’s fast changing exploration and energy horizon.

The Africa E&P Summit will be a hybrid event, encompassing an in-person conference in London in which an online audience also participates.

Already, TotalEnergies has announced new investment initiatives along the midstream sector in Nigeria as it lays emphasis on new energy and is comforted with the country’s Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

Frontier and the oil major have confirmed an agreement to allow TotalEnergies take a leading position at the upcoming Africa E&P Summit Africa’s premier global oil, gas and energy conference.

By partnering with Frontier, TotalEnergies is showing leadership in Nigeria, and indeed African oil, gas and energy industry, and it is an opportunity for the company to present its energy strategy to Africa’s upstream community, as well as strengthen ties with industry partners, stakeholders and African governments.

Emmanuelle Garinet, TotalEnergies’ VP Exploration Africa, will speak to the industry for the first time in her new role at the Summit.

Emmanuelle’s career spans the globe incorporating the last 20 years with TotalEnergies in strategy, planning, portfolio and performance, as well as time in South America, Nigeria, Gabon and Angola for the leading international energy company.

“I am delighted to have TotalEnergies, with its know-how and its expertise, among our official sponsors. We feel certain that their involvement at this level will significantly contribute to the success of the Summit. It is a privilege to provide a C-suite platform for TotalEnergies to address the industry and to introduce Emmanuelle Garinet in her new role as VP Exploration Africa. She has had an illustrious career to date and I have no doubt will have a positive impact on the continent in this important leadership position,” Frontier CEO, Gayle Meikle, said, while commenting on the partnership.
