TCN Restores Power To Communities Affected by Fire Outbreak In Jos

By Moses Patience Chat

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored electricity supply to communities in Jos that got disconnected due to a fire incident.

This was revealed in a statement issued yesterday by TCN’s General Manager (GM) on Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, where she explained that the power disruption experienced in the communities was due to a fire incident that occurred at about 1.52 am on Thursday.

However, Mbah noted that one out of the two 33kV feeders that were destroyed by the fire has been restored and that the 33kV Aglo Feeder will be restored after Jos Disco reroutes its line to enable the offtake of supply through TCN’s Makeri Transmission Substation.

She added that the off-taking of power from the Makeri Transmission Substation will ensure the complete power restoration to affected areas through the two feeders.

Mba apologized for the inconvenience experienced by consumers, noting that supply will soon be restored as soon as their line is rerouted.
