Social media users have taken to their official X account to react after All Progressive Congress, APC chieftain and former governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai shared a report stating that in 2023, Nigeria’s GDP was estimated to be the 19th highest in the world.
According to World Economics Research, Nigeria’s GDP was estimated to be the 19th highest in the world and still the largest in Africa based on Purchasing Power Parity.
According to Nasir El-Rufai on his page;
“Nigeria GDP is estimated to be $2.419 trillion dollars by World Economics for 2023. 89% larger than official estimates. The official estimate for Nigeria’s GDP published by the World Bank was $1.277 trillion at the end of 2023 in Purchasing Power Parity”.
