The Commission Chief Executive (CCE) of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, has demanded that oil and gas operators ensure strict adherence to the various provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
Komolafe said this during a courtesy visit by the Management of Heritage Energy Operational Services (HEOS), led by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Ado Oseragbaje.
The NUPRC Boss said that complying with the various provisions of the PIA would enable the industry and the country enjoy the benefits of its successful implementation.
He also appreciated Oseragbaje and the HEOS leadership team for the visit, adding that NUPRC is deploying regulations as a strategy focused on inclusiveness and business enablement, driven by the effective implementation of the revolutionary provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act.
Oseragbaje, in his remarks, thanked the NUPRC Boss and promised continued collaboration with the Commission for the success of the petroleum industry.
He also appreciated Komolafe for the dynamic and focused leadership he has brought to the Nigerian oil and gas industry, stating that the progressive impact of the new regulatory regime is already manifesting in the growing stability of the industry.
