NSC Chief Dikko, Nigeria Pillar Of Sports, Ejidike Agree To Collaborate

Chairman of the National Sports Commission Malam shehu Dikko has said that the commission is planning to have a strategic partnership and Network of collaboration with the organized private sector including the office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports.

Malam Dikko stated this in Abuja Friday when he received in audience, the Nigeria Pillar of sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The NSC boss, alongside his newly appointed Director-General of the commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade commended the Pillar of Sports for his numerous contributions to the growth and development of sports in Nigeria.

He said “Your numerous contributions to sports development over the years are acknowledged, be assured of our collaboration with your office and personality in our quest to give sports a new perspective within the mandate of our office.

“We have noted your submissions and advice on the way forward, we will continue to seek your support and cooperation to achieve our mission and vision of developing a strong sports economy in Nigeria.”

In his remarks, the Director-General, Bukola Olopade commended the Pillar of Sports for his contributions to sports development across the country and assured him of continuous cooperation to give sports the needed lifts.

Earlier, the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike had congratulated Malam Shehu Dikko on his appointment as the NSC boss which he described as well deserved.

He said his office will continue to partner the Sports Commission on the overall development of sports, mostly at the grassroots level.

On the Nigeria Pillar of Sports Delegation were the Director of Football ABS FC Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, National General Secretary of SWAN Ikenna Okonkwo, Chairman of FCT SWAN Kelechi Onwudiwe, Former Chairman FCT SWAN Ndubueze Chidoka, Secretary of FCT SWAN Samuel Ahmadu.

Highlights of the visit included presentation of 6-point position paper on the way forward for sports as well as exchange of souvenirs.
