Nigeria LNG Limited Partners with Hospitals to Enhance Healthcare Infrastructure

By William Emmanuel Ukpoju

In a significant stride toward improving healthcare infrastructure and services across Nigeria, Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with three prominent medical institutions. The MOUs are part of the second phase of NLNG’s multi-billion-naira Hospital Support Programme (NLNG HSP).

The collaborating institutions include: Federal Medical Centre Asaba: NLNG’s support will facilitate the renovation and equipping of neonatal wards and the Intensive Care Unit at this medical centre;

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi: The NLNG HSP will fund the construction and equipping of a comprehensive laboratory complex at this teaching hospital and

Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi: The initiative aims to renovate and construct an oxygen plant at this hospital.

Valuechain reports that the NLNG HSP, which began in 2022, is a commendable effort to bolster healthcare delivery systems and enhance medical training across 12 Federal University Teaching Hospitals spanning Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

This collaboration underscores NLNG’s commitment to improving healthcare services and infrastructure in the country.
