A first-half strike from Fulham midfielder, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, ended Nugerian Super Eagles’ three-game unbeaten run against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun last night in Vienna, Austria. The goal was scored in the 37th minute in an international friendly match.
Gernot Rohr’s side started the encounter on the front foot with Paul Onuachu close to breaking the deadlock in the third minute.
His header was parried by goalkeeper Simon Omossola, some moments later he tried another attempt but it was wide off target. Nigeria’s constant push for an opener proved futile until Anguissa’s goal.
