IPMAN Demands Time Extension Before Embracing New Fuel Price

By Moses Patience Chat

The Vice Chairman of the Western Region of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Mr Joseph Akanni, has asked the Federal Government to extend time for them to be able to embrace the new official pump price of PMS that is now capped at N195 per litre.

During an interview in Ibadan, Akanni explained that majority of its members bought fuel from private depot owners at very high prices and are yet to finish selling the stock.

Their reason for a call for time extension, the IPMAN Boss said, was to enable them adjust to new price, as the last round of supply made to their members arrived late after about two to three weeks of delay.

He also added that all members have been ordered to stop patronizing other private depot owners but buy only from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
