Professor Wumi Iledare, has congratulated HE Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, Secretary General of OPEC on his recent reappointment as honorary professor by the University of Dundee.
Responding to Valuechain’s publication conveying the reappointment today, Prof Iledare who is also of the University of Cape Coast’s Oil and Gas Institute, Ghana said: “Congratulations to the SG. Legacy begins with integrity. And Knowledge is Power! More grace and honor to the Alternate Chairman of the Valuechain Oil and Gas Magazine Advisory Council”.
Coincidentally, Prof Iledare is a member of the Valuechain Oil and Gas Magazine’s Advisory Council, to which Barkindo is the Alternate Chairman. His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero serves as the Council’s Chairman.
The reappointment was announced at the Symposium of the University of Dunde, as Honorary Professor in the School of Social Sciences until May 2026.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary General, the University said: “The School … would like to record its gratitude for the contribution you have made … and for your ongoing commitment to the School and the University.”
