Grid Crux Energy Solutions has unveiled a low-cost energy solution called MasSolar in order to help solve Africa’s electricity problems.
The organization, in a statement, said that over 580 million people in Africa lack adequate access to electricity, which has brought about negative impacts on the continent’s economic growth, health, education, and social well-being.
Grid Crux Energy expressed that MasSolar is an initiative that is specifically designed to provide easy access to sustainable energy through a digital, easy, paperless, and seamless credit approach to both residential, as well as Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) segments. The solution leverages technological advancements in consumer credit, unique customer identification, and a robust fintech backbone infrastructure in order to provide consumers with the easiest and quickest means of accessing credit for both residential and SME renewable solutions in the market.
According to the firm, its main goals are to eliminate energy poverty, promote energy equity, and ensure easy access to energy for all. It added that creating the solution was born out of the passion to help individuals and any kind of small business across Africa have access to sustainable energy without the hassle of paperwork or collateral burden, believing that the solution will provide answers to the continent’s energy deficiency.
Grid Crux also expressed that it also offers a variety of innovative solutions across the energy value chain, including renewable energy solutions, energy management, utility and industrial storage solutions, as well as microgrids, among others. It stated that aside from access to energy, these solutions are designed to improve network reliability and promote energy equity, while optimizing costs and consequently, reliving energy poverty in Africa.
