Engr. Oluwaseyi Omotowa is currently the Managing Director of the Nigerian Gas Company Limited, a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of NNPC Limited.
He holds a B.Eng. (Hons) in Civil Engineering, which he obtained from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
He joined the services of NNPC Limited in June 2005 and has 28 years of cognate working experience in the Construction as well as in the Oil & Gas industries.Ojiegbe
Before his appointment as MD, NGC in March 2020, he had worked and held various positions across NNPC Limited.
Between October 2018 and March 2020, he served as General Manager PSC – NAPIMS, Lagos. He also served as General Manager, Construction at Greenfield Refinery, Projects Division Abuja. Before then he was Manager, Upstream Projects – Engineering and Technology Division, Abuja.
Engr. Omotowa had, between June 2005 and January 2010, held sway as Deputy Manager, PSC Infrastructures NAPIMS Lagos, before his elevation to Manager PSC Facilities in the same organization.
He was Venture Manager on various successful PSC Deepwater Mega projects namely SNEPCO’s Bonga Northwest Project, ESSO’s Erha North Phase 2 Project, STARDEEP’s Agbami Phase 3 Project, TEPNG’s Usan Project, midwifed Egina Project from conceptualization up till contract awards stage as well as maturation of Bonga Southwest/Aparo, Preowei and Bonga North Field Developments.
Since assumption of the apex seat in NGC, Engr. Omotowa has steered the ship with profound leadership prowess leading to visible strides and mileages reflecting on the general outlook of the Company. Worthy of mention is the attainment of the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification, increased vigour on delivery of major gas infrastructure project (ELPS II completion, OB3, AKK etc.), improved and sustained relations with its stakeholders via robust quality Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, value-addition to NGC work processes as well as geometric rise in the revenue base.
Prior to joining NNPC Limited, Engr. Seyi Omotowa had also worked at SHELL Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Forcados Terminal and NLNG Bonny Terminal.
He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and a Registered Civil Engineer with Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Engr. Omotowa, an accomplished professional and manager of resources, is happily married with children.
