Aradel Appoints Rita Immuentiyan as GM, Human Resources, Corporate Services

Aradel Holdings Plc, Nigeria’s leading integrated and indigenous energy company, has announced the appointment of Mrs. Rita Immuentiyan Olarewaju as General Manager, Human Resources & Corporate Services, effective from the 2nd of September 2024.

Mrs. Olarewaju, according to a statement by Aradel, will be joining the Aradel Executive Leadership team, and her appointment is part of the company’s commitment to growth and transformation.

She is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 30 years of diverse experience across the Oil & Gas, Consulting, and Financial Services industries.

She joins Aradel from the Shell Group, where she has held various local, regional and global roles including HR Business Partnering, Talent and Change Management, Compensation, Resourcing, and Country HR leadership in Joint Ventures and PSC/Operated environments both in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

Mrs. Olarewaju comes to the role with a proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships, influencing cross-functional business teams and leaders to deliver results, the statement added.

She has consistently set and implemented successful people strategies that have enabled and enhanced business performance. Her passion for talent and people development was pivotal in advancing the Sub-Saharan Africa talent agenda at the Shell Group, achieving significant progress in gender representation, key talent indicators, and a step-change in diversity and inclusion management.

Rita holds a master’s degree in psychology and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD UK) and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN).

Mrs. Olarewaju takes over from Mr. Adewale Arowojobe, who is proceeding on retirement. Mr. Arowojobe joined the organisation on the 7th of March 2006 and has served meritoriously in various leadership capacities, with landmark legacy achievements.
