The Heavyweight Champion has banked over £100MILLION and could Secure Biggest Payday yet against Tyson Fury in 2021

Anthony Joshua is one of the world’s biggest sporting stars – and the Brit certainly gets a pay-packet to reflect his status.

The heavyweight champion remains one of the most lucrative names in the game following his redemption win over Andy Ruiz Jr.

The 31-year-old Olympic gold medallist has enjoyed a superb pro career and has secured several hefty paydays to boot.

He claimed an all-important rematch win over Ruiz Jr last time out, earning him another huge cheque.

While it won’t be a bumper purse, a win will set Joshua up for another huge year in 2021 with a double-header against fellow world champion Tyson Fury on the cards.

AJ pocketed upwards of £50m for his win over Ruiz Jr – doubling his career earnings to over £100m and putting him among the top earners ever in boxing.

He has earned more than £10m from each of his last six fights, which have been stadium sell-outs at Wembley and the Principality Stadium as well as his defeat to Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden.

The first Ruiz Jr clash saw Joshua bag his then biggest purse of around £20m but Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the rematch has lead to rumours that AJ took home as much as £58m in total.

The Saudi Arabian authorities paid a fee of £32m just to host the fight and built a special arena in Diriyah. Box office receipts, ticket sales and broadcasting agreements pushed up Joshua’s pay to record levels.

Joshua vs. Pulev was a heavyweight professional boxing match contested between defending unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO world champion Anthony Joshua and IBF mandatory challenger  Kubrat Pulev. The event took place on 12 December 2020 at The SSE Arena in London. Joshua retained his titles via ninth-round knockout.

A clash against Tyson Fury this year has been agreed and that all-British blockbuster would likely secure both champions their biggest ever purses.

Joshua, who earns lucrative sums from posts he makes to his 11.6million Instagram followers, also has over a dozen lucrative sponsorship deals.

He is in partnerships with Under Armour, Lynx, Jaguar, Beats, StubHub, Hugo Boss and Lucozade Sport and also works alongside the 258 MGT management company and his AJBXNG apparel line.

The Sunday Times Rich List, published earlier last year, put Joshua’s wealth at £107million.
