By William Emmanuel Ukpoju

At a recent gathering of Nigeria’s political leaders in Lagos, President Bola Tinubu delivered a message of economic optimism, forecasting a robust turnaround for the nation’s economy by December 2024.

Valuechain reports that the President’s remarks came during a courtesy visit by state governors and members of the National Assembly.

President Tinubu’s vision for economic resurgence is rooted in a call for unity and deeper collaboration across all levels of government. “Our economy has turned the corner. In the coming months, the economy will roar back to glory. By December, I hope we will have cause to celebrate,” he stated, instilling a sense of hope for the future.

Vice-President Kashim Shettima also echoed the President’s sentiments, advocating for a united front to elevate Nigeria to new heights, saying: “Let us unite, rally around our leader, and catapult this nation to a greater pedestal,” Shettima urged, highlighting the diverse representation at the meeting as a testament to President Tinubu’s unifying leadership.

Senate President Akpabio, in his comment, commended the state governors for their inclusive approach to governance, mirroring the President’s leadership style.

Akpabio’s endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term was accompanied by prayers for the continued success of all governors present.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, lent his support to the ambitious Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, which promises to significantly impact national development. He also noted the positive economic indicators under President Tinubu’s administration, such as the stabilizing exchange rate and decreasing food prices.

The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare’s initiative to fund primary healthcare centres was also highlighted as a key achievement, contributing to the improvement of living conditions across Nigeria.
