Four people have sustained fatal injuries after gas cylinders exploded at Ijaiye in the Agege area of Lagos State.
Valuechain gathered that the explosion occurred in the early hours of Monday in a shop used to store gas cylinders.
According to the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, three females and a male sustained second degree burns after the incident, which was caused by gas leakage.
Osanyintolu also disclosed that no life was lost and that the injured victims were immediately attended to by LASEMA pre-hospital care, alongside Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).
He added that the victims have also been moved to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and that the inferno has been put out by the combined effort of LASEMA and Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
