A woman relishes and cherishes looking good. Glowing skin in this regard comes handy by way of using the best skincare products. But funny enough, the woman’s skin provides good results when natural ingredients come into play because chemical ingredients often fail to suit every skin type – be it oily, dry, normal, or sensitive.
Below are some of the natural ways to keep your skin glowing:
PAWPAW:
Pawpaw naturally exfoliates the skin leaving it smooth and soft, Unripe pawpaw is more effective than facewash, oil, and scrubs. Those with sensitive skin types should not worry because it’s a natural fruit, therefore is less likely to trigger a reaction.
Scoop out ¼ cup pawpaw and blend it and apply evenly and leave on for 5 to 15 minutes before rinsing off.
TOMATOES:
Excessive oil on the face doesn’t only affect those with oily skin, tomatoes play a major role because it contains anti-oxidants along with great cooling and astringent properties. It helps balance the natural oils of the skin and gets rid of any excess oil that you may be struggling with, reducing signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. apply fresh tomato on your face after blending, allow it to dry for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.
APPLE:
Enlarged pores make your skin look mature, oily and attract a lot of dirt causing skin problems. An easy and effective natural face beauty tip is to place thin apple slices on the face and leave it for 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can prepare a paste of apple peel, vinegar, honey and some Multani mitti and some rose water. Let it dry on your skin for 30 minutes and then wash off.
MANGO:
Mango is loaded with a type of anti-oxidant called mangiferin that helps protect your body from cellular damage. It’s also a great source of vitamins, which all act as anti-oxidants in your body: you can apply a paste of the mango on your face for 10-20 mins and wash it off, do that for weeks most especially at night, the result is magnificent.
CUCUMBER:
Cucumber is one of the most refreshing, cooling and nutrient-rich vegetables out there. Its high-water content helps regulate the water balance in the body and is highly recommended to maintain good health. This vegetable becomes essential in our grocery list during summer to ward off the heat and keep the body hydrated. Due to its cooling properties, cucumber has also been an integral part of skincare products, especially those formulated for sensitive and dry skin, to soothe and calm irritation.
ORANGE PEEL:
What’s in season will make your skin glow! Not only when it’s part of your diet, but even when it’s used directly on your skin. In fact, in the case of oranges, just the peel has way more Vitamin C than the orange itself. The peel has anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties which make it great for treating acne and oily skin Orange peel is best used in a powder form. And for that you first need to dry the peel under the sun and powder it. You can store this in an air-tight container for the next 6 months and use it to make fresh face packs, Combine it with other base ingredients for fresh, younger-looking, and clear skin.
Keep a note of what you eat, because it helps a lot, eating fresh fruits, greens, sufficient protein and vitamins. A diet rich in vitamin C and low in fats and sugar promotes radiant skin. Consider a low-sugar diet, which can keep insulin levels down, allowing cells to maintain a healthy balance for your skin.
