The Director/CEO of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Engr. Sarki Auwalu has received a delegation led by the Commandant, Nigeria Institute for Security Studies, A. S. Adeleke and two others, to seek advocacy and collaboration between DPR and the institute.
The Director reassured the visitors of his commitment to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, for the overriding interest of National Security, as contained on DPR’s website.
The commandant presented the DPR Director three books on National Security Policy: “In Search of Peace And Security in Africa; Piracy In The Gulf of Guinea and African Journal for Security and Development” in addition to a plaque, in recognition of the CEO’s innovation in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry since his assumption of duty as DPR’s helmsman.
Valuechain reports that in the spirit of reciprocity, Engr. Sarki Auwalu presented the Commandant with a copy of “The Manual of Oil and Gas Laws & Regulations”, to deepen stakeholders’ understanding of DPR’s role as a “Business Enabler and Opportunity Provider” for the Nigerian oil and gas value-chain.
