Former Group Managing Director (GMD) of the NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru, today, bagged the Leadership Newspaper CEO of the Year 2019 Award for his “dogged pursuit of hydrocarbon search in Nigeria; superintending a downstream sector devoid of products shortages at critical period, among others.
In a Goodwill Address at the occasion, the incumbent GMD, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari extolled Dr. Maikanti Baru’s virtues, adding that the leadership qualities provided by his predecessor would provide the fulcrum for the NNPC to hold on to, in the face of current challenges facing the Oil & Gas Industry.
